My boy is a High School GRADUATE!!!!! WooHoo! I am so proud of him!!! His last day of his high school career was today. Carlos called me before I opened my eyes this morning to yell.... Mom! I'm done! I did it! YEEEEHAWWWW!!! Ok, he didn't say yeehaw, I did.

I wanted to climb right through that phone and kiss him and hug him and jump up and down! I did start to cry. I am a mom, after all. Here are some pictures of my Carlos Alexander Manon, the High School Graduate.

Cockadoodle~doo!

We do not live in the country. I do not live on a farm. Here is a pic of my house to prove that we live in a relatively quiet and comfortable neighborhood. We live 5 houses off the golf course. Although we do not live in the gated community, we do live near the Country Club. We are surrounded by lovely neighbors and we are not secretly raising chickens in our garage! Why then am I awakened most every morning by a loud COCKADOODLE~DOO?

As I alluded to above, we do not have a rooster, however, we do have a 4 yr. old boy. Jared takes great pride in being our alarm clock. He decides when it is time for us to wake up, and when he determines that the time is right, stands beside our bed and yells... COCKADOODLE~DOO over and over until we open our eyes. Once our eyes are open, he then says very sweetly, yet firmly, "the sun is shining in the bright blue sky! Time to wakey wakey... I am starving!" I have learned that when Jared says that he is starving , I better move fast. If I don't fix it, he will! The pics above illustrate what happens when Jared fixes breakfast. Luckily, that day we were out of milk! Oh, and why are my pics up there when I added them here? Any idea's? I am a newbie at this blogging/uploading/downloading stuff. I know... I am pathetic. I am going to try and get to bed at a decent hour tonight, since the rooster crows early around here lately. No Walmart for me tonight!

Well, I created this blog nearly 3 months ago and this is my first post! I think I might actually have figured a few things out... I hope. We'll see if it actually appears on my blog. If it does, There will be a little victory dance right here in my family room.

It is 3:30 am and I just got back from the official insomniac hangout... Walmart. Doesn't everyone go to Walmart when they can't sleep? Nothing else is open at this time of night/morning around here so my options are limited. I bought frozen vegetables, cheese (swiss, colby, and mozzerella), a Pepsi throwback ( it tastes sooooo much better with real sugar than with some chemical pretending to be sugar!) and Q-tips. I can't live without Q-tips. I am addicted to Q-tips. Perhaps I will dedicate an entire blog to Q-tips at another time. I am sure it will be a thrilling read. Anyway, I am back, I am blogging, and I am tired. I am tired! Finally! I better take advantage of this while I still can! G'night all!
